How You Can Help

Hickory Rowing Club runs on community support. Parent volunteers play an important role in
keeping our team organized, safe, and ready to compete. There are many ways to get involved,
and no rowing experience is required.

Practice Parent

Help coaches during practices. Tasks include setup, equipment support, and assisting with
closing down after practice. Training is provided.

Regatta Support

On race day, there are many moving parts. Volunteers assist with tent setup, meal preparation,
equipment organization, and maintaining a smooth operation.

Transportation

Boats and equipment travel to regattas on trailers. We often need help driving, hauling gear, or
assisting with loading and unloading.

Fundraising

We welcome new ideas and helping hands for events and sponsorship efforts that support
equipment and operational needs.

Board & Leadership Roles

If you have skills in management, finance, planning, or communication, consider serving on the
board or in a committee role.

Marketing & Communications

Support our website, social media, and outreach. Photography and design help are also
appreciated.

Uniform Coordination

Assist with ordering, distributing, and managing team uniforms and spirit gear each season.

Hospitality &  Team Meals

Regattas are long days. Volunteers help with food donations, setup, and the team tent. Our
hospitality crew is known for some of the best race-day spreads around.

Everyone contributes in their own way. When we work together, we create a strong and
supportive experience for every rower and family.
