’25 to ’26 Winter Conditioning

Hickory Crew offers a structured winter conditioning program designed to build cardiovascular fitness, strength, and rowing technique. Athletes train on ergs (rowing machines) and participate in strength training and general conditioning to improve overall performance. The program also includes opportunities to compete in indoor rowing events, called erg pulls.

Winter conditioning is open to all student-athletes in grades 7-12. You don't need any experience at all. It is an excellent introduction to the sport for new rowers and a strong development opportunity for returning athletes.
