Join Our Crew
You can join anytime throughout the year, we have a Summer Camp, which is a great way to 'dip your toe in the water', but we take new members anytime.
You are eligible if you are a 7th-12th grade student, not limited to Hickory district students.
We train Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday for up to 2 hours depending on the season.

What Happens after you join?
After you have completed the online joining information and paid your first dues, you will receive an invitation in your inbox to set up your Hickory Crew Parent Portal. Once there, you can download all the relevant joining forms, such as the school athletic physical form, order your uniform and find all the parent volunteer information, Regatta details and so much more!

I ENJOY THE TEAMWORK, BECAUSE WITHOUT TEAMWORK YOU WIL NOT GET ANYWHERE IN THIS SPORT ON OR OFF THE WATER. I THINK OTHERS SHOULD JOIN FOR THE DISCIPLINE, EXERCISE, AND OVERALL FUN OF THE SPORT.

AS A PARENT, THE BEST PART OF HAVING MU KIDS JOIN CREW ACROSS THE BOARD IS THE CAMARADERIE AMONGST ALL THE PARENTS. SINCE THE KIDS ALL ROW TOGETHER, ALL THE PARENTS SUPPORT AND CHEER THEM ON TOGETHER! ADDED BONUS, IS THAT THE KIDS COME HOME TIRED 4 DAYS OUT OF THE WEEK!

WHAT I ENJOY MOST ABOUT CREW IS THE TEAMWORK ON THE BOAT. EVERYONE HAS THAT TRUST IN EACH OTHER BECAUSE EVERYONE NEEDS TO DO THEIR BEST FOR THE BOAT TO FUNCTION. I THINK OTHERS SHOULD JOIN BECASUE IT'S A TOUGH SPORT THAT EMPHASIZES TEAMORK AND A GOOD MENTALITY.
